Comments
  • FUNCTION: REQUIRED FOR MANNOSE 6-PHOSPHATE RECEPTORS (MPR) TRANSPORT FROM ENDOSOMES TO THE TRANS-GOLGI NETWORK.
  • SUBUNIT: INTERACTS WITH CYTOPLASMIC DOMAINS OF BOTH CATION-INDEPENDENT 300 KDA AND CATION DEPENDENT 46 KDA MANNOSE 6-PHOSPHATE RECEPTORS. ISOFORM A ALSO EXISTS AS A HOMODIMER (KNOWN AS PP17C).
  • SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: CYTOPLASMIC AND ON ENDOSOMES.
  • ALTERNATIVE PRODUCTS: 2 isoforms; A and B (shown here); are produced by alternative splicing.
  • SIMILARITY: BELONGS TO THE PERIPILIN FAMILY.
